Lyrical Beer – Dylan Thomas Shirt
At Beer Park we love and live our beer and admire those writers who can express the joy of beer in a few beautiful sentences. Welcome to our Lyrical Beer Shirt series produced in conjunction the Llanelli based designer Karl from Facing West Prints.
You are viewing our Dylan Thomas shirt.
Dylan Thomas was born not far from Beer Park Llanelli in 1914 at Cwmdonkin Drive, Swansea – in a short life of 39 years he produced exceptional poetry and prose and stands as one of the best loved writers of the 20th century.
For this shirt we’ve chosen the following text from Dylan’s autobiographical short story “Old Garbo” published in 1940 in “Portrait of the Artist as a Young Dog”.
“I liked the taste of beer, its live, white lather, its brass-bright depths, the sudden world through the wet brown walls of the glass, the tilted rush to the lips and the slow swallowing down to the lapping belly.”
This is a resilient 100% Cotton softstyle shirt in M, L, XL and XXL sizes.
