Select dark malts with a delicate roasted aroma make Erdinger Dunkel a full-bodied delight with a strong character.

It fills the glass with a rich, deep brown hue. The first sip delights with a harmonious blend of select dark wheat and barley malts and premium Hallertau aroma hops. Notes of caramel, nuts and fresh bread can be recognised. The traditional Erdinger yeast mistakably adds its top-fermenting character.

Erdinger Dunkel made it’s debut in 1989 with Erdinger’s master brewers brewed a dark wheat beer for Werner Brombach – owner of the private brewery – as a birthday present. He enjoyed it so much that he launched it in 1990.
