You are viewing our Edgar Allan Poe shirt.
Edgar Allan Poe was born in Boston in 1809 and as a poet and writer is renowned for his work of mystery and the macabre. Â He stands as one of the key writers of Gothic Literature dying in 1849.
For this shirt we’ve chosen the poem “Lines on Ale” attributed to Poe and written around 1848.
“Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain —
Quaintest thoughts — queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away;
What care I how time advances?
I am drinking ale today.”
This is a resilient 100% Cotton softstyle shirt in M, L, XL and XXL sizes.
